Congratulations to The Off Broadway Kids for their near perfect performance at the "National Performing Arts Festival" in Orlando. The Kids received a 99/100 and a 98/100 from the judges, based on the tougher National level of scoring, which just thrilled us to no end!!

The Kids also won the Judges' Showcase Award enabling them to perform their 20-minute competition piece on a Disney stage in front of a crowd of hundreds of screaming "fans!" They were even asked to pose for photos and sign an autograph or two! WOW!

This makes two years in a row and three straight Orlando competitions where the OBD Kids have taken the crown! The 2008-2009 cast and their production of "Once on This Island" and the 2006-2007 cast and "Godspell" were also big winners.

Special congrats to Alex Sherwin (as The Cat in the Hat), Owen Smith (as The Sour Kangaroo), Ali Holliday (as Mayzie La Bird) and Barrett Crowder (as Horton), for winning individual awards for "Outstanding Performance by an Actor/Actress." Eight such awards were given out and our OBD Kids received 4 of them!
