Shooting Stars Senior Performing Company
(Ages 13-17)
The mission of the Shooting Stars Senior Performing Company, is to provide a performance experience for the higher level dancers to enhance their dance and performing skill levels. As a Company member, dancers will experience different types of choreography, further their appreciation of dance, dance with professional instructors both in and out of the studio, observe other dancers at conventions, performances and competitions, and get an overall better appreciation and knowledge of the field of dance. Our primary dance genres of focus are Lyrical, Modern and Broadway Jazz.
We are a “Performance” company foremost. Our goal is performing – not competing. When our company does attend a competition, it is for the experience in which that environment can provide and that can not be found in the studio. Our goal is to increase the dancer’s self esteem and performing skills.
Rising Stars Apprentice Performing Company
(Ages 9-12)
The Apprentice Company is comprised of younger dancers that are not quite ready for the extensive demands of the Company, but who exhibit interest and talent considered by the Artistic Director to be necessary for pre-company activities. Their Dance Genre focus is Lyrical and Broadway Jazz. They are considered separate from the Company but may participate in concerts and can, if they so desire, participate in workshops and conventions attended by the senior company.
